Seating Chart Board Ideas

Not sure if I'm using the right 'term' but you know that board that lists what table people are sitting at.  I want to do something a little creative, but not sure what... haha So if ya'll can give me some ideas it'd be appreciated!  Spanks!

Oooo I likey.  I think I have that same little puncher outter thingy for the corners.  I used it on our invites.  Could tie everything together nicely?

Stupid me used glue instead of 2 sided tape so the pages came out wavey looking where the glue is.

Here are 2 examples of seating charts, where guests can check to see which table they are seated at. If you choose personally to pick each person's seat, you will need a place card at each place setting. http://tinyurl.com/lu55ac http://tinyurl.com/m757tdThese are 2 examples of escort cards, where the guests find theirs and take it with them to their seat.http://tinyurl.com/ll6o56http://tinyurl.com/nqttmzHTH!

Isn't it a cute idea! I think you could do that, but it might turn out to be a really big board. How many guests are you having? And how many tables? Maybe you can make a smaller board and have 1 per table. I think it would also be easier then for guests to come up and grab their card.

We have around 275ish guests... so we're doing something like 27 or 28 tables.  I have one big 3x4ft. board already.

Wow!! So many guests! A board that big could work. Just gotta figure out the right size for the cards. What shape are you thinking?

Yah so many guests... LOL... Think of the movie 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' but sub a bunch of Mexicans. :)  That's us.  I'm not sure... probably just squared since they're easy to cut, and I could use my snazzy corner punch to make it look nicer. :)

Lol. Yea, I think it will look very nice with squares and punched corners.I did some math for you and figured that if you did 2x2 inch squares you will have enough room to put 20 across the 4' side and 14 down the 3' side. That would be 20 columns and 14 rows, which equals 280. This would leave you with 8 inches of extra room on each side. So with the leftover room going across you would be able to space each column by 3/8 of an inch, and with the leftover room going down you would be able to space each row by 1/2 an inch.

dang 275 guests- holy mole. i saw a cute idea where they used one of those pictures frames that had different holes for different pictures.  They had this displayed on an isel (however you spell it).  then it just says the table number and the guests and when the guests get to the table the place cards will direct their seating.  i do not know if you wanted to assign it like that.  My guests are allowed to pick between steak or chicken so I have to make sure and mark the places accordingly.
