Babies-R-Us

I'm off BC but not because I want to have a baby.  I decided the pill isn't right for me and I need a new method.  Anyway, I took Andrew to Babies-R-Us to scare him so he wouldn't try any foolish stuff while I'm off BC.  Why was this boy going around and inventing new things?  When we were looking at the strollers he started coming up with ideas to make it easier.  His idea was a motorized scooter stroller so he wouldn't have to walk and push it, instead he could ride the stroller like a scooter.    Turns out I'm more scared about having a baby than he is.  He is more in the "if it happens, it happens" mode because I kept screwing up on taking the pill so he pretty much expected me to get pregnant anyway.

I think he might be ready to be a dad.  =)  My hubby would do the same thing.  As much as some guys say they aren't ready, I think a part of them is when they start to see things "baby".

So if he's ready we totally switched places.  I'm not ready anymore.  I want more selfish time first.  :P  He was also looking at the baby carriers (the ones you carry them on your chest or back) and he was saying he wants one.  Hmmm, you may be right Rebecca!

LOL.  Andrew has an improvement or invention for everything.  He's like a kid and tries to explain it to me but I just roll my eyes.

My hubby wanted to wait 2-3 years before trying to have a baby.  Almost 2 months after we got married, he was like "Let's do it!"  I thought he was drunk......lol!  But, 9 months later here we are.  You all have talked about it before, so the thought is already in his head. =)

lol yep thats leo. he just started watching this show on the science channel called "catch it, keep it" basically they get a team of guys to solve some type of engineering problem and if they do, they get a prize.  for example the other night, a motorized scooter was going to be launched off a 3 story building, if the guys build a rig that could catch the scooter and bring it to the ground without any damage, they all got to take one home.  its a pretty cool show except i keep finding drawings and notes on the coffee table.  like, he's REALLY making his own design.

HAHA Emily!!  Andrew actually made something and was going to patent it but they sent him the wrong paperwork and he gave up.  He is so full of ideas.  All the boys in his family are like geniuses at inventing things but no one ever goes through and gets things rolling.  His dad is like a physics person and has invented things that are used by colleges but he has never patented anything so he doesn't get paid!  His grandfather was like a nuclear physist or something crazy like that so it's like his brain was passed down to all the men but none of them use it.

Sam would probably pass out if I told him I was pregnant but I think he would be a better parent right now then I would be. He grew up with kids all around so he is just better at it but we both def want to wait a couple of years

I had made a comment one day to Stephen that I would never push him into having a baby and that I would wait until he was ready. I also told him to keep in mind that we aren't getting any younger and that the older I get, the harder on my body it could be.  I was all for waiting.  Then one day he said to me, "You're right.  We aren't getting any younger. Whether we wait or whether we try now, it's not going to make a difference."  He said that he doesn't necessarily think anyone is truly ready to have a baby because you don't know what to expect. He was like we have everything we need, a house, good jobs, etc.... let's go for it. =)

Kas and Em- My FI is always coming up with "inventions" (as he calls them) to imporve things too! He loves watching The Shark Tank. It is a reality show where people go on and tell these 5 or 6 investors about their inventions and then the investors decide if they want to invest or not. If George had his way we would already have a kid and have one on the way! He is sooooooo into babies. Usually girls will see a cute baby and say, "Awwww. Look hunny! Look at the cute baby!" But George is the one that says that to me. Then he will say, "I want one!" Yeah, no. Not going to happen any time soon.
