Speaking about lurkers...What did you think of the board before you started posting?Were you nervous to post the first time?What made you decide to finally post?

Umm...lets see...how honest do I want to be. Hmm.... I will take the high road and say that I was very nervous about posting in the begining but I had a catering question and couldnt seem to find any help anywhere so I thought I would give this board a try

In all honesty, I was a lurker before I started posting. I liked the board because everyone was so nice and helpful to eachother but they were also fun and talked about all aspects of their lives not just weddings, I liked it because I felt like I could talk about anything (once I worked up the courage to post the first time, that is). I was very nervous the first time because everyone knew eachother and I didnt want people to dislike me cause i was new. lame i know. I decided to finally post because i was clueless about planning a wedding and needed all the help i could get.

What did you think of the board before you started posting?The only person still here from when I started posting is Sylvia.  Everyone back then was very welcoming.  I dragged Syl to LA with me!Were you nervous to post the first time?I think I was.  it was so long ago.  Everyone seemed so tight knit.What made you decide to finally post?I have no clue...help with the wedding I guess.

Were you nervous to post the first time?the first time i posted i wasnt nervous, i didnt even lurk before i posted i just came on and introduced myself and then after that i was, "well not what", and disappeared for a while because i didnt know what to say haha!What made you decide to finally post?didnt want to be a lurker!

What did you think of the board before you started posting? That everyone already knew each other and were friends in real life too. Were you nervous to post the first time? a little.. that's when I first realized the addiction though. I really only lurked for like ten minutes the first time I found it, then I posted right away. And everyone was really welcoming. I didn't think there would be an IE board since everything always comes us as OC.What made you decide to finally post?I was curious if there were any other MI brides and everything I did was wedding related, so it just made sense.

Since Kasi is texting me to be honest and not take the high road here goes: What did you think of the board before you started posting?I thought that some of the girls might have been a little too mean or rough for me BUT only because when I lurked at the time I didnt know you guys. So I didnt realize that everyone was kidding when they were being "ghetto" or "tough". It just made me nervous at first because I was worried that everyone would run me off. Happy Kasondra?

I stumbled onto this board by accident after I got married. I wish I would've known about this board before I got married.  I wasn't nervous about posting because I'm a tough girl who can take ridicule and honesty.  I remember the first time I posted was asking a question about posting pics on my website.  But, as I began to read through other posts I just started responding. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and well, I haven't left yet...haha! I was on The Nest for about 2 weeks but it was nothing like being here.

Ok, for whatever reason, I no longer have the "bold," "italic," or "underline" option thing anymore. Where the hell did mine go? Therefore, I will be answering in caps. Do not think I'm yelling at you. What did you think of the board before you started posting? I THOUGHT IT LOOKED NICE. ALL THE GIRLS SEEMED HELPFUL UNLIKE THE P&E BOARD THAT I LURKED ON. Were you nervous to post the first time? YES I WAS VERY NERVOUS. ONLY BECAUSE I LURKED ON THE NATIONAL BOARDS BEFORE AND THEY CAN GET REALLY IMMATURE AND RUDE ON THERE FOR NO REASON. EVERYONE HERE WAS SO TIGHT THAT I WAS AFRAID THAT THEY WOULDN'T LET ME INTO THE GROUP. What made you decide to finally post? I REALLY WANTED TO KNOW WHERE SOME VENUES WERE. I WAS HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING SOME IN MY PRICE RANGE. FROM THERE ON OUT I WAS HOOKED.

I've posted on TN a few times. Its slow(er) and mostly baby stuff which I wasnt ready for just yet.

What did you think of the board before you started posting?I had lurked a little bit a while before I got engaged, and had seen that this board was WAY more welcoming and helpful than the national boards.  I was happy to see that I would have somewhere to ask questions once I was engaged.Were you nervous to post the first time?No, I was so excited that I was engaged and could start planning.  Then I signed up and it said I had to be a member for so many hours/days before I could post and I was so mad!What made you decide to finally post?I had just gotten engaged!  I wanted to jump head first into planning, and later realized that you kinda need to know some things before you can really get into planning, like, say, a budget, guest list..you know, those little things!

What did you think of the board before you started posting? The girls were really nice but you could totally tell they had all already bonded Were you nervous to post the first time? No not really nervouse I figured if they were mean then oh well its just the internet What made you decide to finally post? I had questions and I needed help :0) hehehe I've been on the Nest and the girls are super sweet/nice but I just dont feel like I fit in, at no fault of theirs Im sure if I posted more I would feel more cofortable they have all been very welcoming :0)

I thought everyone was nice and my favorite posts are the vendor reviews. I was nervous because I realized it would be creepy if random people were out there just watching, but at the same time, I didn't feel i could contribute most.Oops, I guess that's addressed previously. I also like to come around more because it's nice to ask if people have experiences with local places. The only other time I ever thought about posting is when Kenor used to bug the shiit out of me. I didn't think the time would be fitting because I wanted a nice first post. lol. It would be very frustrating if I'm looking back to a post that had local bakeries and it was gone because of the gazillion "So the GTG is what day?" posts.

We post mostly about non-wedding related things.  Especially now that most of us are married.  If people ask then we will answer but we're not very wedding minded.
