SweetPea, in answer to your question

Kenor was an illusive person on this board.  She never showed up to anything she said she would (GTG or lunches) and would always have some sort of excuse.  I think 2 people have met her so we "think" she's real.  LOL.  Bre, I know you've met her.  She was very over dramatic and was just all about drama and showing off.  From what she said on the board made it seem like her husband was controlling and possibly abusive.  It was just a very awkward situation and none of us knew what to say to her.  She was flamed everytime she wandered to another board then would run back here and try to drag us into the craziness.  So her over dramatic persona and her flakiness has led us to dislike her.  She was just very childish.  Some of us think she lurks still and maybe posts under different names.  Her sister probably still lurks here as well and reports back to her.

Very very likely Sandra.  Who knows what was real with that girl.  All she had to do was be normal and not try to show off or make stuff up and we would have liked her.Sweet, also when we say "pulling a Kenor" or something like that we're trying to say that the person isn't "real" because they won't show up to some event.

Well said. Who met her, bre? It's probably gratifying to her that we still talk about her.
  • edited December 2011
We don't think anyone's real until someone has met them.  If you flake all the time then we will definitely think you are fake and then we'll give you a hard time.  Just a warning.  :PJojo, yea, Bre met her.

Well, as long as you don't make plans to go to a GTG or some other event then bail last second then you will be fine Emily.  But if you constantly say you want to meet everyone then always bail we will start calling you "kenor".  HEHEHE.  We had one other person pull that stuff on us.

I would also like to add that not only would she bail, she was the one trying to arrange the G2Gs.Not to mention that every week she would look at the IE list and ask who "this person" or "that person" was, why they weren't posting, where their photo was, if they were real, etc. But then she, herself, was obsessed with keeping her name and photos off the board.

haha! I totally forgot about that! She would grill newbies and make them feel unwelcome. Yup she tried to organized the GTG then bailed. That's when we started showing our dislike for her.

It is true. I met her...and her mom, dad, and sis. I went to her house to drop off bridal magazines. We also went down to Upland together to go check out Debrah's Bridal when they had the dress give away. Her family is actually super nice and so is she. However, she did get a little annoying with the dramatic stories and making excuses for her FI's behavior. Her problem was that she just tried way too hard and had a jerk for a FI who had obviously broke down her self esteem. IMO, he didn't treat her right.

She seemed to try too hard but it didn't work.  It definitely seemed like he controlled her every move.  It was actually sad to read some of the stuff.  I didn't even know her but was able to read into what she said and deduce that things weren't right.

Damn, this board used to have drama.  I LOVE it!  j/k but it would have been interesting!  And annoying, of course.  Um I hope you guys don't think my FI/DH(?) is controlling, but to be honest, I don't know what he would say if I told him I was going to meet people I met on an internet message board.  He'd probably think I'm crazy.

I dont think your husband (so exciting btw that hes your hubby now!) seems controling at all. Kenor was such a "interesting" person that I dont think I could ever compare any of the girls now to her. There was def some drama around here. We even used to have random posters that would show up just to talk sh!t and then leave. It was sooo random. I think thats why we get so protective or overly cautious sometimes
