A show I'm watching has this lady who started a business selling things that make fun of break-ups (to help with healing) and there's a product she has that is awesome!  I wish I would have known about it a few years ago so I could have put my rings to rest.  It's a wedding ring coffin.  I still have my old rings too...I need to bury them!  [img]http://divorcediva.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/wedding_coffin.jpg[/img]

Oh for the new people...a little history on me so there's no confusion.  I was married & divorced prior to my marriage to Andrew (the man pictured below).

I could always sell the diamond and have the gold melted.  Maybe I can have a necklace made for Suraya.  I was thinking of keeping the rings for her anyway.

One of our friends is opening up a shop that melts it.  Guess I can just take it there.

This girl I know is having a "gold party" Friday so I am gonna take some of my moms gold :0)

I think you should keep them as is, and Suri can make the determination what she wants to do with them when she gets older....JMO

I agree with MC. I would keep them for your daughter and when she is old enough you could give them to her. I know a girl whos parents are divorced but her mom saved her ring so that when she got engaged they used the center stone for her ring.

ree with MC keep them as is. That way if she wants to keep them as is she can or have them made into something she likes. I have my dads wedding ring from when he was married to my mom. I think my mom sold hers so I'm sad about that
