Taxes

Our property taxes went down $3000 for this year.  WOOHOO!!!!  Of course that's between the two homes, but still $1500 less I need to pay in December and April.  =)

Don't be bitter Syl- at least you have property to pay taxes on ;)

Syl, that's $700 extra you didn't have before.  Stop complaining.  I agree with MC on this...you have a house.

But, you have to remember that I probably paid a LOT more for my house then you did.  Which means that the value of my home decreased more than yours. So, eventhough mine may have had a signficant drop (remember that is on two homes) you may still be paying less in property taxes than I am.  =)  I feel fortunate that I still have two homes in this economy and that I'm not in danger of losing either.  Remember what you said on FB?  Be grateful for what you have. =)

So in other words Syl, what Rebecca is saying is that she's rich!  Just kidding!!Syl, you have every right to be down at times.  Just as long as you're not depressed.  I think a lot of us get into our down moods sometimes and I really think it's normal.  Don't you wish you could be one of those forever happy people?  And Rebecca brought up a good point, in this economy you still own a house.  :P  I know sometimes I drive up to my house and although it's not everything I ever dreamed of having, I still am in awe that I own it.  It's a great feeling!

I definitely miss my only bill being for my pager service.  Oh those were the awesome days...oh and just paying insurance for my car.  Those were the good ol' days.  3 years ago I thought I would never own a house so I feel pretty darn lucky to have one.  The bad part of owning is the upkeep.  You should see my backyard.  I have weeds the size of trees.  I pulled some out and they all came back.  My front yard is green though.   :(
