how many are you having/ did you have??

So far I've asked my sister, my FI's sister and my cousin.  I think 3 is good but I have a weird feeling in my head that it will look unbalanced in pictures.. am I crazy?  There's a good friend of mine I might want to ask but I'm not sure yet.. and I don't want the rest of my girlfriends to be upset.... opinons please... tia.

true des...they are unraeliable sometimes. i am having 6, which is alot but fi id having 8 and i had to somehow make mine and his work without me having to round up 8 girls.

I had 5 BMs.  Having uneven BP's is totally fine.

I think I'm with Desi, I originally had 5 but 1 is preggers and due on my wedding day and the other was my MOH. That lady has issues physically, emotionally and mentally. At first I just wanted to kick her out for being unreliable and just not a good MOH, not a good friend for that matter but I calmed down and thought things over. Eventually I had a conversation with her and we both realized that it wasn't best for her physically. Such a weight has been lifted off of me.

Crazy thing is, people are becoming jealous. I never though that would happen. I guess if it's not all about them it bothers them. We even had to drop a groomsman. WTH?????

I thought weddings were supposed to bring people closer.

Bottom line......be careful who you chose as your BP. I'd rather have the 3 reliable bridesmaids that I have now than having to worry about everyone else not taking care of their S*@!

I was very lucky with my BMs.  There was never any drama but that is because no one knew each other before my wedding planning started.  I actually had a BM luncheon months before the wedding so they could all meet.  I only chose my closest friends adn they happened to be the people I've kept in my life from each stage (Jr. High, HS, military, etc.)

I have 5...Two are my sisters 1 is my cousin and two are my friends.  I have great group of girls that are all coming to my bachelorette party which include 17 girls.  None of which are offended that I didnt ask them to be in my bridal party.  I think that people understand when you limited to the amount of people you can have.

i hope i dont have any drama.  so far the only problem is my sister is useless as far as helping me with anything but i know she'll be there. oh and she keeps talking about how she cant wait to get drunk and make a speech so i might have to tell my dj not to ever hand her the mic.

My sis was useless but I figured she would be I LOVE her and I was ok with that
2 were my cousins useless also which kinda shocked me but oh well
and the other 3 were my girlfriends TOTALLY awesome !!
I had 1 lil issue with one of my BM's but it worked itself out
Defiantely becareful who you pick, you dont want added stress :0)

I have 3 too and was feeling the same way about the unevenness thing! =/ I feel like there should be 2 or 4...anything larger is ok if it is odd or even. I know I'm nuts. FI is having 4 GM...maybe 5. lol. Talk about uneven.

with uneveness you could always have all the groomsmen wait up front and then just have the bridesmaids walk down or you could have two groomsmen to every 1 bridesmaid or vice versa.  FI has 5 groomsmen and and I have 5 BM but its gonna be uneven because my son is the JR best man and he will be waiting up front with FI so I am going to  have one of the groomsmen walk down with two BM.  :-)

I had 3. Started with 4. I seriously wish my SIL wasn't involved but DH wouldn't let me drop her. For me having the extra two was difficult when it came down to buying dresses and them all showing up for fittings so I can see how the dress looked.

I have my MOH and 5 BM.  My fiance has his best man but only 5 GM initially, but another one will most likely be deployed to Afganistan by our wedding day so we will have my last 2 GM walk with 2 girls As far as my BM go, 4 are cousins (including MOH) and 2 are friends.  My friends and one of my cousins are amazing and the other two are whatever lol.
