Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful; we couldn't have asked for anything better! Here are my thoughts on each of our vendors:
Reception Venue: The Fairways -- North Canton
I initially had several issues communicating with the staff at The Fairways. It definitely takes an organized and persistent person to keep on top of things with this venue. However, when it came down to it, Robin was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good, the location is nice with pretty windows and views of the golf course, and our guests enjoyed the bar. Their prices are also quite affordable.
Bride and Mother of the Bride Dresses: Abbott's -- North Canton
In terms of sales and customer service Abbott's is wonderful! We had nothing but great experiences shopping for my dress and veil and also for dresses for my mom and mother-in-law. The staff was helpful and friendly.
I do not have great things to say about the alterations department. I ended up having 4 fittings just do my bustle and hem. My bustle ended up falling apart during my reception. I thought it would be more convenient to do my alterations on site, but now I wish I had used my own seamstress.
Tuxes: American Commodore -- Belden Village
Several people in the bridal party ran into issues with the sizing of their tuxes. But, all issues were fixed in time for the ceremony!
Photographers: Inlux Photo
Jarred and Heather are awesome! We loved working with them for our engagement photos (which turned out great!) and were so happy to have them with us on our wedding day. They are professional but fun and helped organize the day while also going with the flow. I can't say enough about how great they are. We haven't seen any of the wedding photos yet, so I can't comment on them yet.
Flowers: Botanica -- Canton
All of our flowers were beautiful and affordable. Kay is very sweet and pleasant to work with. My bouquet was exactly what I wanted and our centerpieces were amazing. I highly recommend working with Kay!
Cake: The West Side Bakery -- Akron
We had many compliments on how delicious our cake was. I had a bass groom's cake made as a surprise for my husband and it turned out amazing! Barb and her staff have excellent customer service. They were very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend The West Side Bakery.
Decor/Rentals: Miller's Party Rentals -- Akron
Initially Miller's was great to work with. They were patient with me and my mom when we came into their showroom to test out different decor combinations. However, they were supposed to deliver our chairs and linens on Thursday evening and it did not happen until Friday afternoon. This put us behind in decorating the reception venue by several hours, and we ended up having to set up after the rehearsal dinner. Even then, they left out our chargers, which were not delivered until Saturday morning. Needless to say, we were not pleased.
DJ: CAT DJ -- North Canton
Rodney and his assistant were wonderful! They played all of our requests and tailored the music perfectly to our reception. People were dancing all night. Rodney was easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and he was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Rodney Fonte and CAT DJs.
Invitations/Programs -- Paper Allure -- Jackon/North Canton
Laura is a creative genius! We loved working with her to create unique invitations and stationary that matched the spirit of our celebration. Her prices are extremely reasonable for custom-made products. I highly recommend Paper Allure.
Photo Booth -- Shutterbooth
Our guests really enjoyed the photo booth. The Shutterbooth staff made a custom-designed scrapbook for us with our own logo and our wedding colors. The staff person at our reception was friendly and professional. The picture quality was great. I recommend working with Shutterbooth.
