Palm Springs---Venue Advice

We are booking wedding from a distance.  We are looking at a few places in Palm Springs and wanted to get advice.

Does anyone have any reviews, comments, concerns with The Riviera Resort and Spa or Rancho Las Palmas?

We have done extensive research through trip advisor, meeting planners and others, but we're of course wanting more advice.  We hope to sign a contract in the next two days!

I looked in PS for half a second, although I knew it would be too hot for July. I was going to look into the Riviera, but when we drove by, it was still under construction and didn't really like the outer look (although, it was probably being changed).

If you do end up in PS, you should definitely take a windmill pic, like we did it's the 5th pic down.. really cool:

Hey there!

I am also planning our wedding in Plam Springs from a distance... from Indiana!! I am traveling out there at the end of May to check out venues with my fiance and sister. I don't have any advice, but wanted to let you know you aren't alone trying to plan your wedding in Palm Springs from miles away! Good luck fellow Palm Springs bride!

I live in the Palm Springs area. The Riviera just went through a remodel. It looks amazing. You will have an old Hollywood feel if you choose to wed there.
It is located right up the street from "famous" down town Palm Springs. Everyone will love it there.
Now for Rancho Las Palmes...This is located not actually in Palm Springs FYI, it's in Rancho Mirage, about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs. It is beautiful as well (I mean what resort isn't???!). You will have more of a Spanish/tuscany sort of feel there.
They are both beautiful resorts in a gorgeous area, you will just need to decided what style of wedding you wanted
