Soooo, we're moving our date.

=/ Sad but true. I was looking forward to only having a few more months to the wedding. However, we decided to move it back 8 months to May 29th, 2011. The economy has cut FI's clientele in more than half. My dad was going to give me a very nice chunk of change but he had to use that money when he got his hip replacement surgery for living expenses because he is self employed. Our photog is pregnant and really good friend is pregnant and both are due the last week of August and the first week in September, respectively. Also, by the time May 2011 rolls around I should have a career started and be almost done with my teaching credentials. It just seems like a smart move for us.

With all that said, I am still going to stay on this board! lol. I enjoy you non-snarks. You all get to hear my May plans now =) Besides, the May 2011 board is still super dead.

Oops. I thought I was posting this on my wedding month board! lol. That is what the whole "I'm staying on this board..." last paragraph was all about. I'm such a tard head some times. Just ignore that part.

Hey, that is too bad all the obstacles that you and you family are going through....but everything will turn out ok in the end.   I feel your pain--I too had to move back my date.  I was supposed to be married two months ago but my job situation set us back.

On the brigh side---now you have more time to plan and not feel stresed :0)

Aww I'm sorry Bre! 2011 will be here soon enough though so you can have the wedding you want! Plus you will have all the major vendors out of the way so woohoo for the extra jump start.

Congrats to the photographer being knocked up though!

I know right! At first they told her that the IVF treatment didn't work. Then like a week later she announced that they were actually prego =) I am really happy for them. I'm even happier that I will now get both her and her hubby to shoot our wedding since we moved our date back.

Sounds like that was a really hard decision. Time goes by so fast that it will be May before you know it. May is a great month for a wedding by the way ;) Are you still keeping your same venue?
  • edited December 2011
Amber- Yes, same venue. At first we were just going to cancel the wedding and just go to Vegas or something. Then we just thought about how much we loved the venue and didn't really want to get married any where else so we just decided to move it back. Also, we already have 5k down as a deposit and didn't want to lose that money.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. =)  No matter what month or year you get married, you are still with a great man who loves you.  In the end, that's all that truly matters.
