QOTD! What do you do for a living?

I am a special education teacher at an elementary school. I teach the behaviour class. It's often challenging and a lot of work, but very rewarding. I've been called some pretty creative names in the past. 

FI works in sales for a sinage company. He's constantly looking for a job in the finance industry though.

I ALMOST went back for social work when I decided to return to school for a second degree. I wasn't really sure of what direction I would have gone with it - I just wanted to help people and maybe not have to stick them with needles.

FI talked me out of it - and I stuck with needle-sticking. :p

What do you do for a living?
I'm a Global Clinical Program Manager- I run the Clinical Trials and gather the data to submit to Regulatory Authorities like the FDA to get new medications on the market. I used to work in Lupus research, but in the past 6 months I switched over to a type pf asthma where your Immune System attacks your airways.  I like it, but it's pretty stressful at times, and the Pharmaceutical Industry can be cut throat. 

What does your FI do for a living?
He is a 4th Grade Math and Science teacher.  He's really popular, (nicknamed "The Pied Piper") and the kids are always sending home drawings and stories they make up about us.  He just brought home a really thick comic book created by the students in his class that is about our wedding.  Apparently I dump Mr. G to marry our dog, Bowser, and then Bowser dumps me for the cat. Haha   Its what got me hooked in the beginning....

I couldnt post when I was out today from either my phone or my kindle!  So annoying!  Anyhow...

I am a stay at home mom part of the time.  The rest of the time I am a birth doula, teach childbirth education & a breastfeeding class and organize a huge twice a year baby fair (think bridal fair but for all things baby)!  Next month I will be starting my Lactation Counselor Certification the week after the baby fair.  (Yep...my life is consummed by all things baby...I cant wait to have another one but we are waiting to get pregnant until after the wedding)

Fiance is really busy.  He works for a company that dispatches emergency helicopters around the country, is a Volunteer Fireman and works for a private ambulance company as an EMT as well.

Basicly My company plans meetings for Pharma companies during the clinical  trials.

FI Is a manger for a lacrosse retail store.

FI and I are taking some people with disabilities dogsledding this month up in Jackson Hole.

Oh that's awesome! I'm sure they'll love it.. My Fi has a co-worker who runs a not-for-profit organization that brings seniors and ppl with disabilities out fishing for the day.  They go crazy for it and you can see they joy beaming from their faces when they are out there.

What do you do for a living?

I'm a Business Analyst for a utility company. I used to enjoy my job but now I'm quite bored. I'm looking for other opportunities in teh company. I make good money so I shouldn't complain.

FI works for the same company but he's in customer service.

She works at the American School for the Deaf in CT.  She went to Lenoir Rhyne in NC and lives in CT with the family now!

I work for the IT department at an insurance company. I'm on the help desk-so people call us when they have a question or are having a problem. Depending on what it is, I either help them, or create a ticket for them for another area of IT.

FI works for the same insurance company, but in another building (we were actually in the same row of cubes when I first started! But I got promoted to IT and they moved me to a different building.) He is on the service center "console"...so he's a help desk and he distributes work to the customer service reps.

I'm a tax accountant for an extremely small firm, aka the owner and me are the only full-timers.

My FI is an engineer at a big defense company that works on military missiles.  I really don't understand what he does except he claims he's a rocket scientist.

I am an RN, BSN new grad.  I  work on acute floor in a nursing home, I am a charge nurse there.  I am getting certified in trauma nursing currently as well as taking some graduate nursing classes at Boston College.  I also  teach natural childbirth classes. I am very busy.  Its not that I don't like the nursing home its just not what I want to do forever so I am working to build my resume and work towards my masters so hopefully after the wedding I can get into a trauma center

My fiance works with those who are developmentally disabled and helps local politicians campaign

Aww...thanks BrightFirefly! That was a nice compliment. I love seeing all the awesome jobs everyone else has! I feel lucky to get to make my own hours so I have time to plan my wedding along with everything else. I also love being home with my younger daughter & still being able to do something I love.

FI: He works for UPS. He loves it.

im a branch manager for a bank in my area and my FI is on the bomb-squad (a.k.a. cop).....yes, the bomb-squad. lol....he loves it, it makes me nervous to say the least!
