Photo Booth

Hi Ladies
I was thinking about doing a photo booth for our wedding but after pricing them they are pretty high in price!  Do any of you have any ideas of something fun we could do that wouldnt cost as much?

Honestly our photobooth was such a hit and so much fun for our guests..People were really excited about it and we almost didn't have one. In hindsight, it was worth every single penny. There are a lot of companies that are competitive in price too.

One of the wedding shows was on in the background yesterday and a bride rented out an ice cream truck.. lol.

We looked into renting a photobooth as well but ended up not having one due to our budget. This was my biggest regret with our wedding. If I could go back and change anything, other than my bridal party, this woud be the thing I would change.

I found some as expensive as $3000 but the cheapest one I found is based out of San Bernadino (if your wedding is local then they dont charge a delivery fee which most do), they were super nice and the package included the photobooth (they bring as extra as a backup) for 4 hours, double pics so you got a copy that they put into an album for you and your guest got a copy as well and all the pics on a disc so you could email or make your prints from it and it was $800. I loved that they were real photobooths too and not just a curtain with a camera.

If that is still out of your budget then you could do games at each table. I went to a wedding where they had trivia cards at all the tables so that helped us pass the time. I went to another wedding where they had a section of their reception area setup as a "game room" so some tables had blackjack, poker and even barrel of monkeys. Our wedding was an outdoor/garden wedding and our reception hall had a huge lawn area out front. We had croquet and bocce ball setup for them to play while we were taking our pics. HTH

What about a backdrop on a wall and have your photographer do like a photo wall, and you can provide some props like a boa, silly glasses, funny hat, you know fun stuff that will make people want to take the pictures and have a good time

I have heard of people using polaroids and putting them all together in a book and having people write you a message on the polaroid. Photobooths are super expensive and I didnt have it in my budget either.

Yah both of those ideas sound great poloroids with the props totally fun.  I would just have to decide where I can put it in the room :-) Has anyone done the cameras on the tables?

We used Four Quick Clicks and I have to say - the photobooth was the hugest hit of the wedding! People were lined up in hoards outside it the entire time it was there. I had a lot of props and I have to say seeing the photos of our old aunts and uncles, our little cousins, and our crazy bridal partay all dressed up in pimp hats and boas are truly priceless mementos. For months after our wedding, tons of our friends had photobooth pics from our wedding up as their facebook profile pic. It was worth the money to give our guests a favor that they would actually love to hang on to. I say that if you are considering it, scrap something else and find a way to squeeze it into your budget.
