Newbie

Hey guys,

I signed up a while back but I thought I would finally look at the boards. I'm getting married 5/29/2010 in Corona.

For the past couple of weeks I have been losing my mind. I thought I was going crazy but after reading some posts I see this is a normal bride thing :)

I just wanted to formally intorduce myself. Have a great day and stay dry.

Welcome to the board!  Oh yes, most of us have had our freak out moments.  Mine started right before my wedding.  I even threw up the morning of because I was so freaked by it all.  Not the marriage part but the whole wedding thing.  I wasn't sure I could pull it off!  The rest of the day I was nice and calm.

The planning process gets hectic at times.  We're here for the times you get stressed.  We can talk you through it!

Welcome to the board. Every bride goes through those ups and downs. I freaked out at about the 3 month mark and then the week before. Its normal but everything works out in the end.

Oh wow, you guys are so welcoming Smile

We were engaged in October and we started planning at the end of November. I don't have too many things completed. I need to jump start the entire process. I work over 50 hours a week so time for me is a big factor. So far we have the venue, DJ, my dress, picked out our colors, his tuxedo, rings, DIY invitations and that's about itl. Those who have never had a wedding would think the majority of my work was done but YOU guys know better!!!

We are on a tight budget but I have realized that the word "budget" is very subjective. I think 10k for a wedding is a budget, other brides believe 10 k is their gown budget and some could never imagine paying that much for a wedding.

Funny thing, I am having the hardest time trying to decide on a bridemaid dress. I picked mine out instantly. Did any of you experience the same? During this process photographers seem to have caused me the most stress.

Ok, I am all over the place. I look forward to connecting with you all and having people to vent to who actually can relate to the most frustrating and happiest moments in their lives.

I learned that you don't want to skimp on photography!  I skimped snd I regret it and want to cry when I see my pics.  So my advice woul be don't skimp on that area.

As for BM dresses, i let my girs choose.  I actually only had 1 rule.....tey had to be a chocolate brown.  From there I let them pick.  All of them have such different body types that I just couldn't force them to wear a dress they didn't feel comfortable in.  None of the dresses were the same style, just same color.
