Biggest Regret

I know you shouldnt regret anything in your life and not even for your wedding day but for all you OMH what is the thing or things that you chose for your wedding that in the end didn't matter as much.... favors? Cute shoes that made your feet hurt? menu options?

Biggest regret would be not hiring a good photog!

Things that didn't matter...oh gosh, I don't know.  Everything mattered to me!  Wait, buying $30 million shoes from a wedding shop and getting them dyed was dumb.  It's not worth it.  It's better to just buy a pair of shoes you would wear more than once. I hated them

!I guess favors didn't matter as much. I bought $1 bags of Starburst jelly beans.  The reason I had favors was to dress up the tables some and give them more color.  I think a candy bar is a great way to go though.

What doesn't really matter and is nothing to freak out about on your wedding day is when something goes wrong.  Just take it as it is, there's no need to stress if there's nothing you can do to fix it.  Laugh the little mistakes off.

I try not to have regrets, but the one thing I really wish I didn't do was have so many BM's stay with me the night before. I even got us a suite that had 3 separate rooms and two bathrooms.. One of my BMS insisted that she drive to her Mom to do her hair, so she was up around 5am. I had one of the 3 rooms to myself, but my bed was right next to a bathroom and she was so freaking loud going in and out of the bathroom and getting ready. I got up and closed a door so she would take a hint but she was still really loud. I was frustrated and excited and couldn't go back to sleep after that. I guess I just wouldn't of had her as a BM period (there were a lot of other issues with this girl).

Other than that.. We spent a lot on champagne flute favors and half of the guests thought they weren't allowed to take them, so I ended up with about 100 glasses.. which I am now slowly giving away.

Like Kasi said, little things can go wrong but when you know ahead that it will happen, they don't seem so bad when they do happen :) sounds cliche, but it is so true.

I think by biggest regret was not having a photobooth. I know that sounds silly but I really wanted one but cut it to save money. Now I really wish I had that to look back on BUT I loved our photogrpahers so I cant really complain too much.

Our biggest waste of money was probably the candy buffet and alcohol. I loved the candy buffet and it was super cute but it cost us more than favors would have and then I had a bunch of candy around the house which was so tempting. I think I ate my weight in candy by the big day :) Mmmm candy.
Even though we saved a ton of money by buying our own alcohol and bringing it in we still bought way more then what we should have and it was ALL GONE! People got so trashed at our wedding. So I guess I should say that a regret was that people were not being cut off.

I also agree with Kasi. Things are not going to be 100% as you imagine them so just roll with it and don't let the small stuff bother you. Enjoy your day and every moment as much as possible :)

My biggest regret is not having a better photographer. I *thought* I had done my research, and we paid a lot for our photographer and I am NOT happy with our pictures. He didn't take very many group shots (with our families or our bridal party) and he didn't make sure we were all posed right, so all our formals look crappy.
I also regret not having more time to plan our wedding, but there isn't really anything I could have done about that.

Super thanks... that helps me a lot... I was thinking about a Photo Booth as well, I found a company that does them and they are so cute and I had so much fun in the trials but I have had others talk me out of it plus it is out of m budget. I will still keep it in the back of my mind....
