Kasi

Hi Luv!
So thax for the advice, I think Im going to go ahead and do it. I just realized that in addition to his 4 month salary, Im getting my financial aid next month, and then my tax return the month after, and then my second income will be coming regulary  starting in April, so I think that we'll be okay. So how old is your daughter?

You're welcome.  I know all about financial hardhsips and just not having much.  I was a single mom for 5 years.  Sounds like you have it all figured out.  My daughter is 8.

so how are kids different than toddlers? my son is 3, and I FEEL like I cant wait for him to be more independent, but Im wondering if I will miss him being little; kissing his tummy, smelling his feet, bath time...

You will definitely miss it.  My daughter is almost like a mini teen now and some of the things she does to seem cute just aren't cute.  Unlike when she was a toddler everything was adorable.  At 8 they have a mind of their own and fight back.  Oh the struggles we have with this one somethimes.  She's as hard headed and stubborn as me!  At 8 they want all the cool expensive stuff...iPod, cell phones, game systems, etc.  Oh and with my kid she likes to be in fashion so skinny jeans are her thing right now.  I miss the baby days and I miss the toddler days.  Those were the cute days.

The great thing about having an 8 year old is she can do everything we do except of course adult only things.  We don't have to pack a diaper bag for her.  She can do everything herself, even cook food in the microwave and bathe herself (although she still has issues with that one!).  It's definitely two different worlds.
