Zumba

I didn't know what Zumba was until today when I was looking up Salsa dancing exercise DVDs.  I kept hearing my friend talk about it but never knew what it was.  I decided to look it up and I tried one of the videos (it was on You Tube) and I LOVE it!  I love dancing to Spanish music so it fits perfectly with me.  I can't try a class though because the ones they offer around here are on the nights I'm in school.  If we make bonus again this month I'm buying the DVD set.

While I was exercising with the video I wondered how people that had no Spanish dancing background could pick up on it.  If I already didn't know how there would be no way I would have been able to keep up.  I've tried a hip hop exercise class and was ssssoooooo lost!  I have rhythm and all but when I have to figure out choreography I lose it.  I was noticing on You Tube that every instructor has a different style.  Some don't do as much of the Spanish dancing, just moving to the music.  The guy that created it though does all Spanish style which is who the video was of.

My friend goes to it and I always want to make fun of her for jumping ont he band wagon...I had no clue what exactly it was though.  THEN I come across it and check it out and here I am on the band wagon too.  But only because it was the style I was looking for before I even knew what Zumba was.  They have it by my place...too bad I can't go.  :(  Stupid school!

  • KASI!  I JUST BOUGHT THIS!  I was actually trying to tear myself away from the boards so I could work out (i LITERALLY JUST GOT THEM!)

anyway, I found them by accident on ebay while looking for more turbo jam dvd's.  so I found 2 websites-one where you can buy the set (in full) and they sell the clothing and music too!  and another site where you can order the dvd's and make payments-$20. a month (the first one you have to pay for tax and shipping, so it came out to $38. and I owe 2 more $20. payments.

and they are in california and I got them in like 5 days (including the weekend)

here is the site with everything:

here is the site with the payment option:

my daughter put one of them in last night (it was too late to work out I was ready to go to bed) but it looked like she was having a blast!

    Michelle:)
