does this sound reasonable?

Saturday night venue 6 hr. rental cost: $1600
Food for 200 (@ $13/person): $2600
Unlimited served sodas/lemonade/punch for 200: $400
3 Manditory Security Guards: $300
Tables/Chairs/Linens Rental: $700
Unltimited beer, wine, cocktails for 175 (@10/person) : $1750
Licensed bartender: $100
Estimated tax/tip: $600

Total: $8050.

So what I'm wondering is... how do these prices look? This is what we were quoted at a venue today and we're thinking of going through with it.

And my second question:  What else do I still need?  Photography, Flowers, Decorations (centerpieces, favors, blah blah), DJ, Cake...... what else am I missing?

It depends on your budget, My venue total is lower than that, but im only planning on 50-80 people, so that makes a huge difference.

Does that also include the ceremony or just reception? The food prices are amazing but does the bar price include 1 hour or all 6 hours?

I think it sounds reasonable mine is 5600 for 125 guests..not including appetizer, and bar...it does include security...all the linens ceremony etc...and the champagne toast.  There is a full time bartender but we are not paying for alcohol..its going to be a cash bar..

Dont forget your invites as well.

thanks girls!! this is for a place called "memories" they have a location in riverside and in whittier.  we like the riverside location but we're going to see the whittier hall anyway next week just to make sure.  and amber... this is the bar price for the whole night.. unlimited.

oh and we just found out FI's parents are helping us out a little bit which is really nice and very appreciated.

I think it looks fantastic! If it fits in your budget and you like the place I say go for it!

I think you have all the majors covered. You still need your dress.

    Hey Emily,

I went and looked at Memories. After a little research, I found that they were WAY overpriced for their venue. Have you actually went there? My sister and I visted the other day and there were weeds a foot tall, VERY dirty, and the owner seemed like an used car sales person.

I found another location for A LOT cheaper but they only hold up to 120 people. I have done TONS of research because I have a budget of $5000 for 80 people. That includes venue, food, a wonderful photographer, florist, DJ, favors, beer, wine, a kids table (full of crafts, color books, board games, and puzzles), linens, sashes, chairs, plates, napkins, wine glases, water goblets.....You get my drift...

Anyways, if you are interested in chatting about locations or anything else, please email me and I will give you my phone number.
