Re: Wedding Playlist

  • THe wedding party will walk to Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley and I finally decided that I'm walking to I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz.
I think the recessional will be Lovesong by Adele, but I'm not 100% on that quite yet. I don't need to choose anything else do I? This is all getting to be too much!! LOL

I just turned ours in this past weekend...a violinist will be provided so this is what we chose:

MOH & Flowergirls/ring bearer walking down to CannonD
Me walking down to the traditional wedding march (Wagner)
leaving to the traditional wedding march exit (Mendelssohn)

Other than that we just asked that they play "wedding appropriate" music for the guest seating and leaving.

    - Bouquet and Garter Toss: Bouquet: Girls just Wanna Have Fun: Cindi Lauper
Garter toss: Shook me All night Long: AC/DC
-Dance songs: only a few "must play" like Baby by Justin Bieber (for the youngins), the twilight song by Christina Perri...A Thousand Years - that's all I can remember
-Last song for Exit: At Last by Etta James
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml

You're having music during the vows?? Interesting. <div>
</div><div>Our ceremony is simple & we basically have one song for everyone going in & another for everyone going out. No live musicians. We have a small bridal party, so we're all coming in to one song also (either "Glad You Came" by The Wanted or "Levels" by Avicci). No bouquet or garter toss. I'm doing "I Loved Her First" by Heartland for the father/daughter & my FI still hasn't picked one for himself. </div>
  • Our first dance is Broken Road by Rascall Flatts, M/S dance is My WIsh by Rascall Flatts and F/D dance will be I loved her First by Heartland.  Our last song will be At last by Ms. James.

For the ceremony, Entrance is Joy De Jesu for the girls, Cannon in D for me and Trumpets voluntary for the recessional.

For our entrance into the wedding, my fiance is known for his spontaneous singing of "I'm sexy and I know it" so......

Must play song, the Tri Sigma Anthem and Tri Sigma Rap....Sorry but I'm a Sigma til I die!!!!
How I unwind? The FI and I watch old TV shows Photobucket 187image 124image 48image 15image RSVP Date March 31 Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • I guess I'm focusing too much on the details! I'm a simple girl, so I shouldn't stress about it. I'm not for sure doing all those songs... that's just a list I found on my DJ's website. Glad you said something about the vows song, Renata!!! I wasn't sure if that was normal myself!

  • We have a very eclectic bunch of music in our wedding, I'm just gonna lay that out there right now.  And we still have some important musical decisions to make, but here's what we got so far...

Seating of mothers/grandmother:  "Wonderful tonight" performed by Vitamin String quartet
WP entrance:  "Marry me" by Train
Bridal entrance:  "Bridal march" performed by Jonathan Cain (so beautiful, you must youtube this if you've never heard it.  Goosebumps!)
Recessional:  Technically undecided at the moment, but will probably be "All I want" by Staind.

Entrance:  undecided, but we kind of want to be humerous about it and use something off the wall, like "Highway to Hell" or "Running with the devil".  I don't know yet.

First dance:  Also undecided.  We've narrowed it down to 3 choices, "Making memories of us" by Keith Urban, "God gave me you" by Blake Shelton or "Far Away" by Staind (Not really a traditional first dance song, but it has lots of meaning to us)

Father/daughter dance:  "I got you" by Train
