BRIDAL GOWNS FOR CHARITY...

Hey guys...I was recently at a bridal show and found out about an orginization near me that sells donated dresses (they are unused, designer dresses from brand name stores like Davids Bridal etc.) for a percentage off and all of the proceeds go to famillies tragically affetced by cancer.  I was so amazed by this because its so smart.  We have to pay for things anyways, why not have the proceeds go to a good cause?  I know I will feel much more beautiful on my wedding day knowing my dress helped a family in need.  Soooooo look for these orginizations in your area.

Heres the website, it may help you if you are in my area.  I will post this on my local board as well.

And if you have any other charitable suggestions for weddings, please post!  :)

I bought my wedding dress at a similar event. There were dresses that women donated and that businesses donated (the price ranged anywhere from $50- $300) and 100% of the proceeds went to breast cancer.

It was quite interesting... some really outdated dresses and some nice one  (I got a casa blanca gown which was from the previous season and my friend got a Reem Acra gown). This was the first time I had tried on dresses and the dressing rooms were made out of plastic piping and trash bags but it was an experiance that i'll never forget and  was so happy that i could help out!
