Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. My Mom did fine today. No heart issues but her BP was up and down. We got to the hospital at 10:00 and they didn't take her to the OR until almost 2:00. Surgery took 3 hours and another hour wait until we got to see her. It was a long day. I don't know how people do the really long surgeries, I was going crazy.
We only stayed a few minutes when she got to her room. She was still coming out of anesthesia and seemed to be very uncomfortable. They'll take good care of her overnight and we'll go back in the morning.
We won't know if she'll need chemo, radiation, hormone therapy... until the pathology comes back next week.
Feeling much better than I did a few days ago, even though I can obviously see where here breast used to be. It makes me kind of sad.
