Wedding Recap

So I shared pictures but didn't tell the story!

Friday June 10

I woke up early - took a shower, then followed that with tylenol and coffee.  I had indulged a bit too much on Thursday afternoon (as in I passed out a bit on a lounger by the pool - hooray for my Knight who got me up to our room and helped me into bed to sleep it off...damn tequila!)

After awhile I went and found my friend that was going to help me with my hair.  We agreed she'd come up around 11am to get me all set.  Fast forward to 11... we sit and curl my hair.  put it on rollers, spray the living daylights out of it with hairspray... all for it to still be stick straight.  sigh.  She was able to put it in a bun of some sorts and off I went to my mom's casa to get dressed.

Photog showed up and took a couple of photos of me, my daughters, mom etc

Funny thing - about 1:40pm I realize I hadn't seen or heard from my coordinator.  I still had the ipod with music on it - so I sent my to be sister in law with the ipod and instructions...

The day before my coordinator told us the officiant would be about 10 mins late, so I knew I'd have to hang out until 2:10 or so.  Finally we got the word she'd arrived.  My family all went down to the beach and then I finally made my entrance.

EVERYONE on the beach in the area stood up!  not just my guests - the people in swimsuits too!  It made me all squishy inside.  (No the band did not show up Frown)

Wedding then went off without a hitch - aside from the microphone cutting in and out while the lady did the creemony, and the ring not fitting on big D's hand (he was bloated!)...

After the ceremony the photog had us go down to the water's edge for photos.  I can't wait to see them!

Then we got ourselves organized and headed into town for the reception.  When we arrived - the bar owner bought our first round, we ordered food and drinks and I can't remember at any point not having a drink in my hand.  The waiters did such an amazing job taking care of us!

When we were getting ready to head out - I was trying to pay the tab.  My credit card company decided that to flag my card as fraud.  so it was declined. YIKES!  Thank god my friend was still there with me and she slapped down her card.  (I called and gave Chase a piece of my mind the next morning though!)

The rest of the trip was awesome as well!  And my friends have already determined we will celebrate our anniversary there next year together!
