Florists in St. Aug! The Conservatorie??

Hi fellow brides!

I am in the early planning stages of my wedding, but am getting a head start on things- our wedding isnt until Spring 2013. Anyway, I am researching florists, and so far I love the Conservatorie's design and style! I was wondering if anyone has worked with them, and what their prices are like?? My budget is about $1,200-$1,500. I am looking for ceremony & reception flowers- very simple, though. I am not picky about flowers, and willing to go with the flower in season for pricing reasons. I do like their modern/ rustic chic style at the Conservatorie, though. I have heard about Rose of Sharon, Bold Blooms, and Flower Works.

Thanks!

  • I never met with anyone at the Conservatorie, but I emailed them, and they seemed pretty expensive. "$1,500-$3,000. This usually covers a wedding party of about 6 attendants on both sides, extra corsages and boutonnières, as well as your traditional centerpieces. As we specialize in large-scale installations with creative brides, we also know that everybody has a budget. Personal flowers usually range from $500-$800."  So, you would probably be tight fitting it in your budget, as that's about what my budget was as well and I didn't go with them.  My florist is Shea Hopely, and I haven't had my wedding yet to tell you for sure, but working with her has been great, and all of her pictures look fantastic.

  • I just got an amazing quote from Meredith at the conservatorie. Set up an appoinents to meet with her. I told her the same thing you are looking for and voila!! I even looked around at other florists an two of them said go with the conservatorie - we don't even know how she can offer you such a good price! Good luck
  • We are getting married in Jacksonville but our florist I think will do both Jax and St. Augustine because they are south PV.  Great company and great designs- Fantacy in Flowers on CR 210

Also we used http://www.staugustine-florist.com/ Shirley is the owner for our engagement photo flowers.  She opened her shop on a Sunday for us.  A wonderful lady.

I am using The Conservatorie. I met with Amy, and I really like her! What I wanted was quoted around $2700. I ended up telling her that I changed a few things, but I wanted to use her so my contract says "not to exceed $2700". I still need to discuss changes with her, which is going to lower the price. She was great about telling me which flowers look similar or give the same effect, but are cheaper than others. I think she can work with your budget if you tell her up front. The only other florist I met with was Flowers by Shirley (I think). I'm pretty sure I met with Brad, and he kept changing what I told him I wanted. He just didn't listen to what I wanted and was basically telling me what flowers to use. Even if he did listen to me, he still didn't compare to The Conservatorie (I met with Amy first).

  • Have you considered 57 Treasury in downtown St. Augustine? My brother used them for his destination wedding and I have used Karin for special events in my workplace. She is very creative and will be realistic with you on what your budget allows,
  • I am happy the conservatorie worked out for you!!! As for Karin... I met with her the first week of January and I'm still waiting for my quote : /. She must be very popular and busy.
  • I'm using Floriade which is located in Jax Beach but Tiffany will travel down to St Augustine. She did my sister's wedding, was great and is very reasonable in price. She will only do one wedding each date so she does book up. I almost didn't get her calling 8 months in advance.
