Avion on the Water and The Georgetown

Hi! We got engaged about a month ago and eventho we are getting married until August 2012 I am loving planning already! We are trying to figure out the budget and what locations we are interested in.  l live in Ellwood City, PA and I know we plan on have the ceremony at St. James Meeting House in teh Boardman Park. We are looking into Avion on the Water and The Georgetown for the reception. Does anyone have any experience with them or info on pricing? I contacted them both and they said they give pricing during a sit down, but since our wedding is so far away we didn't really want a formal meeting, just trying to do some budgeting and get some reviews from people who have used them.

Thanks!

I suggest talking to Jennifer from The Georgetown.  I emailed her several times and she sent me alot of things in regards to pricing.  I may have deleted them but if not I can send them over to you.  Just explain your situation that you are out of state and a sit down is not feasible at this time but you would like some information emailed to you.  If they are willing to do that, then that is great and if they still insist on no email but only a sit down, then you probably do not want to work with them to begin with.  Just a thought.  Oh and the meeting house is really nice.  I dont know anything about Avion on the Lake.  We are having our reception at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard.  Happy Planning!!!  I will check on those emails...send me your email address so I can send them for you.

My sister had her reception at Avion back in 2007. It was a beautiful event. The sun setting over the pond made amazing pictures. The food was wonderful and every interaction I had with the management was incredibly pleasant. They bent over backwards to make sure that the event was wonderful. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to go back there for my wedding, but they were already booked for my date. Instead, I am having my reception at the Butler Institute of American Art but it is being catered by the Georgetown! I have been to several of their weddings, both at their venue and off site catered events, and the food is great. I am really looking forward to working with them.  Good luck!
