The Tipping Question

I know we've talked about this in the past but I just want to make sure that I have it right. I'm trying to get a list of all the money I will need the day of. How did you/ will you tip the following services: Hair dresser- works for a salon. Makeup artist- freelance, traveling to me at the salon and charging a travel fee. DJ- owns his own business, does it as a side job. Cake delivery person- there is a charge for delivery. The officiant is a friend so we'll be getting him a gift, we're considering him part of the wedding party. The waitstaff at our venue will be tipped a percentage bill.

Right. Just tip the hairdresser as you normally would. If you feel led to tip the others, that's up to you, but you don't have to. Delivery people you can give $10, the others 10%, but only if they were great and you have the money. It isn't required. Their services will be more than paid for in the contract.

Thanks Britt and Sarah... that's pretty much what I was thinking. I did forget to ask, what about at my hair/makeup trial? The trial is included in what I pay for the service. I was thinking I would tip the makeup girl that day since she's taking time to meet me at the salon and then tip the hair person as I normally would. Does that sound fair?
