Grey Tux with Black Bridesmaid dresses?

so I need opinions. even though i have already picked out all the guys tuxes. I am just in love with Grey suits or tuxes. I think they are so great! my question to you is will it look weird if my girls are wearing black dresses? in my head i think it will look okay but I can not find a picture of a whole bridal party with this look. I was also thinking what if they did grey tuxes with black vests? Any thoughts? I think im going to have to take my dad with my, but I really would love for them to be in grey if it didn't look tacky. TIA

I'm trying to visualize this too, but I think it would look great. Grey and black both go together- especially with the black vests!  Do they have the grey tux at the rental place? If so you could go with one of your BMs if they have their dress and hold them up together and take a pic.

I think it would look good. Take a guy with you to the tux shop and have him try it on.

you should be able to make your wedding party on Davids Bridal website. It wont be exact, but it will at least give you an idea. I used it a bunch trying to decide on colors.

I like it! FI just found a really nice Calvin Klein soft black/grey pinstripped that he liked this weekend. I think the grey will look awesome w/the black dresses and your colors!

Jodi- Yep! We're not doing the formal vests so we liked how the pinstripes made it to where it will look more like a dressy suit when it's only paired w/shirts and ties. It looked really nice on him. Good choice!

I love this look and I'm thinking about doing the same thing for my wedding in May!  My only concern is the flowers.  I really wanted my accent colors in blue but I'm not sure how to tie that in with the look.  Would blue flowers look out of place?  For some reason my mom doesn't like the look of the black dress and blue heels (even though I like it).

I'm having this same dilema, I was trying to find charcoal grey dresses but all I can find is black and my fiance is set on grey suits, I was afraid that the grey suits would look to casual with black dresses. The look I'm going for with the suits is just vest, no jackets but I think that can be made to be formal enough, especially if it is in black, but the grey kinda makes me nervous that it is going to be too casual.
