Escort Cards

What are you putting on your escort cards? I'm assigning tables only. Should I do one card per couple (family) or person? Is the name of the person and the table # (or name in our case) the all of the info I need? Should I put the meal choice on there too? Thanks!

I would do one card per couple/family if you're not including meal choice.  Then you would just have the name and table number.Ask your caterer if you need to include the meal choice on there.  If you need to, then you should do one card per person.

I am creating a board with table numbers followed by all guests sitting at that table. I figured that would be easier than escort cards. Would the meal choice be for the servers to know what to set down for each person?

We did one card per couple or single and the table number (or name in our case). We did not need meal choice as we had a plate with salmon and beef on it. I have been to weddings where they indicate meal choices by colored dots on the back of the cards. So Mr. and Mrs Smith would have one red and one yellow on their card for a beef and a chicken, etc. Then the waiters just look at the back of the cards.

I am doing one per couple because I dont want 80 escort cards on the table.
