RSVP Date

My designers are starting to work on my wedding invitations!  Yay!  Well, I need to come up with the RSVP date.  We're using Sonnys, so they don't really have a deadline to know the # of people.  So, when is a good RSVP date for a March 27th wedding?  They're also going to be RSVPing for the rehearsal dinner on the same card.

I would say 3 weeks before maybe. I think ours was July 20th for an August 8th wedding and our count was only due Aug 1st. Even though you don't have a food count due, you'll want to know who's coming enough in advance to do seating cards, etc.

That's exciting! I'm curious to see the response for the RSVP's since I'm only a week before you. I thought you designed your own invites. Who are you using?

Usually it is about three weeks before the wedding date.

Okay, 3 weeks isn't too bad.  I'll have to find a calendar and figure out the date.I did design my own invitations, but since we changed our colors, I'm getting them redone.  I'm having them done by Double Trouble Designs.  They did my monograms and my map so far and I can't wait to see the invitation design.This was my inspiration:[img]http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_430xN.37526439.jpg[/img]

I did 4 weeks before, but thats because of the holidays.

im doing five weeks or so because im around the holidays and i really need to know the number of people coming to be able to do alot of things like seating charts, order menus and programs and chargers chairs so i rather know way in advance. my wedding planner suggested doing it way earlier because you know there are always the people who rsvp not on time.

Mine was 6 weeks prior due to mostly oot guests and a B list. I would say at least 3 weeks prior for you.

Our wedding is March 20th, so we are going with March 1 for RSVP deadline. I chose the 1st because I liked how it sounded/looked But I would say 3 weeks is perfecto!

We are just starting to work on the invitations, but I think we are going to request them back 6 weeks before the wedding. I'm getting married at the end of January, and I want the RSVPs back before everyone gets distracted by the holidays. Plus, most of our guests will be from OOT, and it just gives them more time to plan.

I think you want to give yourself 3 weeks or more. I chose a date 4 weeks prior to the wedding date, just because I know people tend to procrastinate. That gives you time to track people down who haven't responded, and do your seating chart. You don't want to be stressing over that kind of stuff in the last week before your wedding.

your invites are gorgeous! I got mine from walmart. They werent really what I wanted but they were on am amazing sale... i got all our invites for 20.00.

I love those invites Navy! So are they just designing them and then sending you the file so you can DIY the rest of them? I was going to order all of my stuff from Cards and Pockets...but if I can just get someone to do the design for me it might be worth it to not have the headache of perfecting the design I already made.
