I was married October 24, 2009. We had our reception at Vell's Party Center in Medina. Originally, we had booked the Belarusan in Strongsville, but due to the growing size of our wedding we needed more space. We went to talk to Vell and everything seemed fine. He was acommodating at our initial meeting and we booked. After that initial meeting, everything was a battle. He did not listen to my mother or me about what we wanted for the day. He was argumentative and had a "know it all" personailty. One of the biggest arguments surrounded having the salads served at the table rather than on the buffet line. This is what I wanted after seeing that the salad dressing on the buffet was pumped like ketchup at a stadium. We even paid extra for this!! When we sat down to dinner...there were packets of salad dressing rather than boats. I was appalled. My mom approached him about this and he said "that is what you wanted." Not even close!
The hall is beautiful and it suited the size of our party, but Vell is unbelievably difficult to work with.
I was starting to think that maybe it was just me, but every vendor had trouble with him the day of our wedding from our florist to our band. Our band, RunAvrilRun, went so far as to say that they would never recommend this hall to anyone.
For the hall itself, A. For Vell, F!
