Time line Help

Hi ladies, I need your help. I have a 3:00 pm wedding. What time should I schedule hair and make up? I was thinking about starting hair and make up @ 11:30. We are planning on having a "reveal" and some pictures before the ceremony.  We would probably do this @ 1:40 and take as many pictures as we could until guests start arriving. We would do a quick "freshen up" session between pictures and the ceremony as well. What time do guests usually start arriving to the ceremony? How should my time line go? How long should I allot for pictures? Thanks for any help you can offer!(PS. Can you show me your time lines as well?)

Are you going to a salon for hair and makeup or are they coming to you?  You might want to allow for a little time for travel and traffic and lunch.  I'll post my tentative timeline this afternoon when I'm at home.

My photographer said two to two and a half hours for first look pictures and some family pictures beforehand. My ceremony is at 4:30 and my hair appt starts at 11am. You have to allot time for hair (1 1/2 hours) make up, travel, lunch, getting dressed, taking pics, possible travel with that and then coming back and getting freshened up again. People will start to arrive about thirty minutes beforehand so you need to be done and ready to go at that time.

I had hair and makeup stylist come to me, started at 11:00am and my ceremony was at 530. We were completed by 330 or so and took some pictures before hand with my BM. Guests began arriving by 5pm. I definitely think you should start by 9am if you want to allow for all you have planned.

Yeah, I kind of figured I would be off on my timeline. I am horrible at this. One of my bridesmaids is a hair stylist and she is going to do my hair for the wedding. (Hair trial sometime this week, hopefully if she can get here)  We will not be traveling anywhere, as we will get ready at the house and the ceremony is on the same grounds. Thanks ladies for the input, and please post your time lines if you have any. And do you think the lack of travel time will make the schedule fall more into place or should we start getting ready at say 10:00 or 10:30? I Have to set up our reception site the day of, so I have to travel from my house, to the reception site, then back to the house. It's about 20 minutes away.  They will open @ 8:00 am to let us in to set up.Wake up @ 7:15Eat breakfast Get picked up by MOH to reception site (7:35)Arrive@ reception site to set up (8:05)   (We are setting up the reception site w/ several other people shouldn't take too long, but just in case I'm going to give 1 hr 40 minutes to set up )Leave reception site, make sure bridesmaids, MoH, and Mom's are on their way. (9:45)Arrive Ceremony site @ (10:15)Take quick showerGet ready at 10:30 am (Hair and Make up)Reveal @ 1:00 & take pictures until 2:00 or 2:15Boys freshen up and then start seating @ 2:30Girls Freshen up Sound better? Thanks for the help guys!

That sounds better. I'm going to work on my timeline today and I'll post it when I'm done.
