Ok so at the "finding the caterer" time period.  In the Tallahassee area, does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?I've talked with Catering Capers and Canopy Rose (Havana), already.

Catering Capers was terrible. He never contacted me back and he couldnt seem to understand what I wanted. However I met with Karen Chapman at Klassic Katering and she was amazing. If your wedding is in Tallahassee you should deff set up a meeting with her. I was planning on using her but I switched to a venue that does on site catering only. She is very helpful and very understanding if you are on a tight budget. Also her Chicken Salad Tartlets are AMAZING.

I wouldn't use TasteBudz.  One of our previous brides used them and the drama still isn't over.We plan on using Sonnys.I don't recognize your name, so if you haven't already, you should make an introduction.  We love more Tallahassee ladies!

Dont think I've introduce on this board.  I'm Morgan and I'm getting married April 2, 2010 in Tally.  Ok so no Tastebudz, but I have heard elsewhere that Klassic Catering is a good place as well.  Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Oh and we're using Sonny's for the rehearsal; I love them!!

Try Chef Mark Gross with Magenta Catering (http://magentacatering.com/).  He catered my wedding at the womans club and is awesome!  I got sooo many complients on how great the food was!  He was the head chef at the Kennedy Center in DC before moving down here.  He prices are really reasonable and was willing to work with my budget to get the most food for my money and he list of items is extensive!

Ok so i contacted Magenta and Klassic, hoping to hear back soon! What kind of menu items have y'all chosen? We're thinking heavy hor'deauves to cut costs, but there also is no room for a sit down dinner.

Ok. so.  We had the tasting with Catering Capers and the food was AMAZING!  It was a very intimate and nice tasting, and i was amazed to learn that his (Justin, the owner) company is one of the only companies to have tastings!  I think its a great idea because I almost would refuse to book someone if i cant try there food ahead of time.  I have also contacted Connie's Hams as they also have a DJ included in their prices.  They are definitely cheaper than Catering Capers, but it may be a you-get-what-you-pay-for type of service.  Hopefully not!  So many decisions, so little time.  Oh, still waiting to hear back from Magenta Catering, its been almost 2 weeks now.  Klassic Katering contacted me back but they dont do tastings so I'm not interested anymore.
