DJ: Affordable DJ (Doug Maynards), he was awesome, I just gave him a few ideas and genres and he hit the nail on the head... was only $300 for 3 hours and he was awesome!
Ceremony music: Bagpipes! Mark Lowe (
bagpipermark@yahoo.com) Was soooo talented and the pipes set the ceremony off perfectly!
Cake: was
supposed to be done by Adonna's Bakery... our tasting went great and because we occasionally go to church together, she cut us a great deal. At the tasting, we were told to pay the balance at 2 weeks before the day. Well, 2-3 weeks prior, we called and drove up there to all 3 locations to try and meet her to pay(at least twice) and then... 10 days before my wedding, she finally calls me back to tell me that because she had not heard from me, she had booked up and would not do my cake. She said that we did not make a deposit so we had no leg to stand on. Some friend. We went to our tasting with the money for a deposit but after being told that it was not necessary (since we know each other), we thought nothing of it. I'm chalking it up to miscomunication and a lesson learned but to me, it was just bad business and I do not recomend them.
Luckily, a saint that we go to church with (who also prepared all the food) arranged for us to have a beautiful and delicious cake made by a personal friend of hers
The Boys: their stuff came from Men's wearhouse, it was pretty standard, they had the colors we needed at a good price.
Flowers: McLeans Florist is Defuniak Springs... a little pricey but they were gorgeous, the ordering was smooth and delivery was right on time so I was satisfied.
I did my own nails and makeup and my sister did my hair. I ordered favors from oriental trading and made some of my own. I made a brooch bouquet for myself... pics soon to follow
