Destin Beach Wedding

I am just curious if anyone has been to a beach wedding in late June around the Destin area? Is it extremely unbearable humidty & tempature wise? I haven't completely made up my mind as in to wear I want to get married.. I had my heart set on Savannah but where I want to do it & the weekend is booked.. We will be going on vacation in June and I was thinking if a beach wedding wouldn't be horrible maybe I'll just change everything competely around.. Thanks ahead for any advice you ladies have!

Plan on being really hot and humid.  My bf got married in June in Sandestin a couple of years ago and we were miserable.  Her reception was outside.  If you end up planning an outside ceremony just make sure to have your reception indoors.

I am planning a beach wedding in Destin in mid-June.  We attended a wedding in Destin 2 summers ago and it was hot for the ceremony, which was at sunset, but by the reception, it was nice and cool.  I guess you never really know.  Right now we are trying to find reception venues and decide between indoors or outdoors.

We got married in Destin last year, the first weekend in June @ 5pm on the beach. It was warm but by 7pm it was so nice out with a nice breeze. Everyone enjoyed it !!
Being married outside was such a special and unique experience.
    Good Luck!!!

I live here in Destin and don't think June is too increadibly hot. The breeze off the water will be nice. Just don't rent vinyl chairs (I went to a summer beach wedding and they had vinyl chairs, it was awful! Everyone stuck to them) Just keep in mind there's a lot of people on the beaches in June, so try to find a beach that is private, like Tops'l or Sandestin so there's not as many people around. Also, be prepared for weather! I'm planning an outdoor June wedding across the bridge in NIceville and have booked a location that has an alternative indoor area in case of our unpredictable rain

I am a wedding photographer in Destin, I shot a wedding in here last June on the beach and although it was hot we weren't outside for a terribly long time before the sun went down and we were just left with the cool sea breeze. Also, unless it's completely unbearable I don't think it is that big of a deal if you just plan on having the ceremony outside and then maybe going in for the reception or having it on a deck/pavilion after dark with lighting.  At the wedding that I shot I was wearing all black pants and a nice black shirt and I was hot, but it wasn't too bad. Just make sure you have A/C or fans available for before the wedding. The couple I shot for stayed in a beach house that did not have a good A/C system and it got quite hot once the bride got into the gown and the guys got all dressed up.
