San Marco Preservation Hall

Is anyone planning to have their ceremony here? I'm curious if you are choosing to decorate it and if so, what you will use. It seems like the altar area could use some decorations for a ceremony. Ideas or pictures would be great!

I just had my wedding there last month.  We used for the aisle 3 foot candle pillars , filled them 3/4 full of water dropped the battery opperated lights in and purples pepples at the bottom and a orchid!!  Since the pillars were so big we did on on every other row.  We also used candles in all the windows.  It was gorgous! Our wedding was at 730 and was perfect!! Good Luck!

[QUOTE]I'm a local wedding photog, and the weddings I've done there haven't really had decorating done.  It's soooooo cute and quaint that it doesn't really need anything.  The lighting the comes in is so colorful for pics so it adds a flair if shot correctly.  I think maybe one person used an arch up there with flowers...but that's it.  Hope this helps. =)

Vendors are not allowed to advertise on the knot.  You will most likely now be banned.

I'm not advertising.  I'm a bride.  Wedding date 09/04/10.  I was giving my opinion as a professional that has been at that venue many times and has seen it all.
    Thanks.

You can either be on the site as a bride or a photographer.  If you're going to be on here as a bride, you can not mention your business at all.

By saying you were a wedding photographer, you were advertising.  You saw what happened in the next post?  She asked for your website.  You mentioning it was advertising because she's now interested in your services.

    Tonya:
While you may post questions and suggestions as a bride, please refrain from mentioning that you are a vendor of wedding services in any posts. That goes against the Knot terms of usage and can lead to banning. It's ok to talk about places you have worked in, but please do not continue mentioning what you do.

Tonya -- I would also recommend changing your screen name if that is your real name.  These are public message boards and any one can access your information.  There are crazy people out there.
