Hi ladies!
I'm recently engaged (less than 2 weeks ago!) to the love of my life but I've been a long time browser on The Knot
My fiance grew up in Jacksonville and we have decided to have our wedding there as well. The gardens at the Cummer is one of our favorite spots in the city- we go there every month or so. Naturally, it is my top venue pick for the ceremony/reception. If you're familiar with it, I was thinking of having the ceremony by the water in the lower gardens, cocktail hour in the upper tier gardens, seated reception inside the Terry room, with a dancefloor in the upper tier.
It comes with a hefty price tag on a Saturday night (not budging on the time or day of wedding) and it's not necessarily out of my budget- I wanted to hear some real experience/advice from brides or guests at weddings at this beautiful location. I'm trying to justify the $6000 rental fee.
Any help is appreciated! I may even be open to other suggestions (on the water)! Thanks girls
