DESTIN - 10pm Noise Ordinance?

Hi Ladies,
I am getting married in Destin this September and am hoping to hear from other brides who have married in that area.
Has anybody ever heard of police actually coming to break up the reception? Are they really strict on this?
We are doing the reception at the beachhouse we have rented and I am wondering if we need to plan for a hard 10pm stop or if we might be able to get away with a little longer . .
any feedback is appreciated!
TIA

This happened at a wedding we were guests at in Pensacola. The neighbors called but the DJ being experienced new how loud he could legally play the music. When the cops showed up they told the father of the groom to end the party. The DJ asked what the legal level was (I think he already knew) He asked  the cops to see where he was at they tested the level and said he was just under the limit & let the party continue.

I would ask the rental company if the neighbors have a history of complaining & I'd make sure I had a dj that was as smart as the dj we saw & since have hired ourselves.

thank you so much! this is VERY helpful . . I will check the allowed level in Destin to be sure the DJ is aware.
He is pretty experienced, so I am sure he has encountered the issue . . I'm probably just being a nervous nelly. lol
