oh,such is life!

So just found out that FFIL is no longer going to help us on the wedding.  Wouldnt be too much of a problem if he hadnt have let us know 2 months before the wedding.  So now our ceremony location is up in the air as are the flowers and a few other things.  Oh what a beautiful thing...not.  but sounds like life to me and i guess i shouldnt be too surprised as the FFIL has done this before.  So any suggestions on how to have a smashing wedding with no ceremoyn site?  :)  just kidding.  Hope everyone else is having a better day with the wedding planning!

    This definitely sucks. =(

Why can't you guys just have the ceremony at DBO right before the reception? That way you don't have to worry about ceremony fees, decorations, etc? Was the church an absolute must for religious reasons?

Was he offering to pay for ALL flowers? If you can't squeeze any more money out of your budget, consider cutting all flowers but the bouquets/bouts. Is he still coming down for the wedding?

This is a big speed bump but not the end of the world. I'm sure you guys will figure out an alternative (although maybe not preferrable) solution. The most important thing is that you guys end up married at the end of the day.

That happened to one of the girls on the March 2010 board.  Here's her blog if you're interested. She ended up having to change her entire wedding around.

Oops...I gave you the wrong link.  That was her personal site.  Here's her wedding blog.

Thanks y'all for the support.  We might do that G about having the ceremony at DBO, but we've already paid the florist and its kind of a must for my mom, but they're already minimal at that.  So we're looking for other places to cut back on, like possibly the cake.  Not a preferred solution but possibly a necessary one.

Thanks Navybaby for the suggestion on the blog.  I'll definitely look at that!
