Addressing outer envelopes

How are you all addressing outer envelopes for married couples? The most popular mehtod seems to be Mr and Mrs DH First and last name. I don't really like that. I think it's b/c FI and I have been arguing lately about the fact that I don't even want to change my last name...but now if we're married I wouldn't even get my FIRST name on things...I just become "mrs" him?

The Knot gives these 2 examples:

Mr. John and Mrs. Samantha Holt

Or

Mr. and Mrs. John Holt
1234 Benoit Road
Plano, Texas 75023

My mom thought the first one seemed odd...but I think it's ok. What do you think? (And yes, I realize it's silly for this to bother me and CLEARLY I'm having some idenity issues...but it is what it is.) :)

    I addressed mine:

    Mr. and Mrs. John Holt

I understand disliking that way but I also thought some of my older guests might prefer it that way and that some of my younger guests wouldn't notice the difference either way.

I thought about that too lucky. I'll probably just suck it up since it's the most widely used. Thanks.

I'm doing mine as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Doe.  It's probably not technically correct, but I really don't think my guests are going to care that much.
