Tallahassee/Surrounding Area Reception Sites?

Hey NF Knotties :)  I'm having an October destination wedding in the Bahamas, but I'm looking for a reception site in Tallahassee for late Oct/early Nov to have a "Surprise!  We got married!" soirée for the friends and family once back from the Bahamas.  Suggestions?  I'd really like an outdoor venue that doesn't cost too much (I'm a student and my FH is a musician, so we're kind of broke :p).  Recommendations for caterers are also greatly appreciated.

    Dorothy Oven Park is a good outdoor venue.  They're kind of expensive, but not too bad.

    Also, Willow Pond Plantation has an outdoor venue.  They're located in Monticello.  We got married there, but we had our reception indoors.

    I can't think of too many more outdoor reception venue.  Sorry!  Maybe some of the other Tallahassee girls can think of something I can't.

    We used Cabell's American Bar and Grill as our caterer and they were amazing.  Some other options are Sonnys and Applebees.

    I didn't even think of Dorothy B Oven park--silly me!  Thanks for that and the catering ideas :)

    Yeah their site was great. Bradford place was pretty too but they are around 2000 to rent

    Either Dorthy B. Oven or Maclay State Gardens would be your best bet if you're on a budget.  Premier Catering and Events does an amazing catering job and will work with your budget.

    Try Wakulla Springs - they have indoor and outdoor options.

    I was going to say Wakulla Springs, it is pretty. We used the Crawfordville Shrine Club.
