Looking for reception site overlooking beach in St. Aug

Hi we want to have a beach wedding next spring and ideally would love a reception site that can carry out our beach theme. I reception site with a deck or balcony that overlooks beach would be nice. Or just a reception room with views of the water. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

I'm not getting married in St. Augustine.. however, I'm going to recommend this place anyway.  I'm getting married at Ocean Breeze Conference Center in Mayport.  It's actually On the navy base.. however you can use the place if you are civilian as long as you have a military sponsor.  (we are not military)

I was just there yesterday to see the room right before a wedding and it's amazing.  Our vows will be said in the sand overlooking the beach and there is a fantastic outdoor patio that was literally just remodeled and the reception room itself has large beautiful windows to see outside as well.  It's very reasonably priced and so beautiful.

Like you.. we are using the beach as our theme.  This venue also has beautiful centerpieces that you can rent for the reception.. which actually comes out to alot cheaper than if I did them myself.

I had my heart set on getting married in Savannah or St. Augustine, but once I found Ocean Breeze, I stopped looking.  Doesnt hurt to contact them about seeing the place.

Have you checked out Marineland? They host weddings, we're having an  intimate ceremony there in May, 2011... it's right up against the Ocean... plus you get the dolphins too!

The White Room in  St. Augustine is beautiful, and their rooftop has a gorgeous view of the bay and can be used for a ceremony and reception. The Bayview Room is right next door, and probably has a similar view although we only peeked through the door.

Thanks for tips. After checking out venues we are really set on renting a beach house for our wedding reception. We want a casual feel for our small wedding of 50.

Have you had any luck finding a beach house?
