"New" venue site - Beach Plaza Ballroom

Hi Ladies!

Has anyone heard of or received any emails from Beach Plaza Ballroom?  It's supposed to be a new reception site in Jacksonville Beach but I don't know much about it.  From what I could find out it is the old Pisco's Restaurant - which I don't know about either.  Any info anyone?

the room looked nice online. it sort of in a weird location. beach blvd isnt a prime location for a wedding venue. but i would go look at it if you could. 

it looks like a really nice place to have a rehearsal dinner i would be a little apprehensive for a reception due to the location.

I've had dinner there before in the little court yard and it was so cute!  It looks like a little town.    But I do agree on the location.  It is in an odd place.  It is right in the center of a shopping plaza.  However, I would still go check it out.  The ballroom could be really nice.  Plus...I think the court yard is adorabale.

Its the old Max's Restaurant and then it was Vito's for awhile. Max's was great and was awesome inside. From the looks online it looks very similiar to how it was when it was Max's. It has a nice courtyard too. I would definitley check it out because the place is really pretty. There is a bar next door so on Sat night things could be loud!

I emailed them on Thursday and got no response so I went by there on Sat to check it out and it was completely empty.

I know I'm reading this too late, but, in case anyone else is searching for info about the Ballroom (formerly Max's), stay away... I had a HORRIBLE experience with the owner.  He has a terrible reputation, which I didn't find out until too late....  He is a crook.  Please be careful or run the other way.  There are MANY other fabulous places for your reception in Jacksonville.
