I'm planning a wedding for October 2012 in the Riverside, Avondale, Downtown, or Ortega area.  I'm wanting a place that can hold 100+ people.  

So far I've looked at The Womens Club/Garden Club, Ortega Yacht Club, and Downtown hotels with little luck.  I love The Womens Club, but the price is a little high for a Saturday.  

Any other options that anyone could reccommend?   

Also, I could use a good linen rental service, any amazing companies out there?

The historical society of jax has an old church downtown near the stadium. I would look into that sorry I don't have the name... I want to say its St. Luke's but I'm almost positive it isn't.

What about Florida Musical in Riverside? I know a couple that got married there & they loved it (I didn't go to the wedding)

We are going without a chuch and doing an outdoor wedding, hopefully riverfront.

Friday Musicale is nice, but not quite what we are looking for.  I'm really trying to find an all in one ceremony and reception venue.  

Great options in this area, I'm trying to find the lesser known places.

The modern art museam would be cool and something different.

The Firefighter's Hall on Stockton could work for a reception, but there's not really a good place for a ceremony.

Have you looked at the Winterbourne Inn? It ins in Orange Park but is right on the river and is very pretty. They can host the cermony and reception. It was a top contender for us.

also look at the Cummer Museum or one of those parks on Park Street toward the 5 points area...
