Need Your Thoughts on Caterers

My fiance and I are torn between 2 awesome caterers, so I'm looking for some opinions from y'all :)

Caterer A - the food at the tasting was A-MA-ZING.  They have gotten good reviews and we got along well with the chef when we met him at the tasting.  The presentation of the food on the plate was pretty, but I'm not super crazy about how their overall presentation of an entire room looks in pictures I've seen from other events they've done.

Caterer B - The appetizers were great, but the main courses were average and clearly not as good at those from Caterer A.  But their presentation of everything is awesome, so the reception would certainly look awesome.  I get along well with all 3 of the women who work there and get the feeling they'd step in in more of a coordinating role if I needed them to the day of than Caterer A.

So do we go with the amazing food and really work with them on presentation? Or average but great looking food with the perk of having them help me out on the wedding day? (I'm not having a coordinator)

Thanks ladies!

I would definitely go with the better food. If you are very very specific with them (and put it in the contract) the presentation of the room should end up as something you would like. You can explain to someone where to put the food/ how to arrange it, but its a lot more difficult to explain to them how to cook the way you want them to.

Better food for sure.  Having good food is one of the most important details, and I'm sure most wedding guests would agree.

Better food... You can always have someone from your wedding party or a coordinator to be there to supervise setup...
