Florists/ Cakes for Destin Area

I'm getting married in June in Destin Florida and wanted to know any recommendations anyone had for florists and cakes in the Destin area? I'm thinking callalilies for the flowers and just a small cake to feed about 30 people. Any help would be great. Thanks

Actually the Publix down ther has a great rep. They used to be real resonable, but then someone told me that there prices went up because they became so popular.

I went to a wedding about a year and a half ago the bride got her flowers and cake from Publix. The flowers were beautiful, simple arrangements she did herself but the flowers them selves were much more then I would have expected from a Grocery store. The cake was beautiful. It tasted good not amazing but I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for flavor. She saved a lot of money so they spend it on their DJ who was awesome. He hosted the evening and they did a lot of things I had never seen before that really made the night very touching, we cried we laughed we got drunk and danced are a**es off... LOL

We are using "Creative Celebrations" for our cake and "Navarre Beach Flowers" for our flowers. 

Do you know anyone in the area for hair and makeup? We are planning from out of town so its been really hard trying to find someone.

Hey Kim,

I have heard wonderful things about creative celebrations, I just couldn't remeber their name til I saw it.

There is a spa in Navarre that's fab, but you have to go to them, my g/f and her bridal party went to them for the works, they all looked great! I guess it depends where you are getting married and how far the drive would be beach traffic can be a nightmare!

and brava hair studio? both in the destin area 

I know this is hard to do - I'm always nervous when I book something since we live in the St Louis MO area and won't get to go back until the week of our wedding

I know nouveau flowers has beautiful stuff - but they are soo expensive!  Does anyone have any other good florist recommendations in Destin?  I'm having a really hard time finding one. 

Say Cake has good tasting cake, I sampled it at the bridal fair a few weeks ago
