Help finding location for engagment photos in Jacksonville

We are doing our engagement photos this weekend but I still haven't decided on a location.  I was thinking that maybe San Marco square with the lion statues would be cool; I want something that has some great architectural features. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.  I am also trying to get some ideas on some photo poses/shots so if you have any pictures to share I would love to see them.  Thanks!

I know someone who took their engagement photos at the Cummer Museum in the garden.  they were beautiful!

I never took any engagement pics.

you can only take pictures at cummer if you are having your wedding there. other wise its off limits.

I would say go to St. Augustine there is so many backdrops. You also could go to San Marco and wander around

I think San Marco would work great. I know some other people who have done the Atlantic Beach area. There are a lot of brick buildings and people like standing up against them.

You might want to ask your photographer. They probably know a spot if you want something other than the beach or a place around town. My photographer knew of this great spot that had a railroad track and pretty fields. I think it was on the westside, but I can't remember the name.

Good Luck, I hope they turn out beautiful.

We are thinking of having ours done in Atlantic Beach.  That way you can get some cool photos with buidlings and still get some beach shots.  :)

We did ours in St Augustine. It was perfect. We took some at the fort, walked around and took them in interesting looking doorways, etc. Our photographer shoots a lot of engagement sessions there so he was very comfortable with it which made us more comfortable. I would definitely talk to your photographer for recs.

Well then I'm not sure how they got away with taking pics at Cummer, but my friend isn't getting married there and was able to get some great shots.

You can actually take your engagement photos at The Cummer Museum if you pay admission for everyone involved and you don't have any photography equipment, i.e. just the camera and flash attachment are allowed.
