Catholic wedding Help!!!!

I need some help on how to get in touch with the churchs in N. Fl, im from Central Fl and seem to be always sent to a webpage that I cant find information on.  I am in grad school and wont be home any longer than 4-5 months before the wedding?  How long is the Pre-Cana classes in the dio. of St. Augustine.  I was thinking of St. Catherine on Kingsley does any one have any info on that church or the Sacred Heart on 17?  thanks for your help... im so overwhelmed... :)

Our priest, Father Jose from St. Pauls in Jacksonville Beach, directed us to the Diocesan Center for Family Life website:

There's the option to do classes or go to a weekend retreat, which he recommended so we're doing that.  You go for the whole weekend, so it's more cohesive than spreading it out over several meetings with your priest.

As far as getting in touch with the churches...if you want to get married at the church, I'd call the office at that church.  Most require you to schedule 8-9 months before the wedding.  We signed a contract and put down a deposit to secure our date.

Hope that helps...I'm getting married at the Basilica in St. Augustine  :)

Thanks that helped a lot.  I really liked the Basilica in St. Aug.  Sooo pretty, I just dont know where to do the reception there, I liked the white room across the street but im not crazy about how you need to walk in and some reviews werent good.  So for the Basilica all your doing is a couples retreat weekend and thats all, you dont need to do the 8 months of classes?

We meet with our priest once and got a document outlining what we need to do (what documents to get, etc) and he told us to go on the retreat.  He told us to also sign up to take a test before the retreat (it's a little extra for the test) and then the results would be sent to him and we'd meet with him once more to go over the results.

haha don't be! :) You and your fiance answer the same questions about your relationship and then you go over them with the priest.
