Jax Reception Ideas

Hi Ladies, I'm an upstate ny nesting helping to plan my BFF's wedding. She and her FI live in Jax.

They are looking to do a wedding in a budget, something low key and casual in May 2013. Can you all suggest some venues or sites to check out?

I'm trying to steer away from hotels and banquet rooms, but I'll take all suggestions. In NY we have a lot of parks and barns you can rent for brides on a budget, if there is a FL equivalent to that I'd be all ears too.

The Italian American society in Mandarin (Jacksonville) has a great site.  They do ceremonies at a local park on the river and then host the reception afterwards.  http://www.iacofjacksonville.com/rentals.htm

I had my wedding at the Winterbourne Inn (reception) in Orange Park, FL (right outside of Jax).
Was there a specific theme/feel she was wanting or going for?

I'm having my ceremony and reception at Kingsley Lake at Camp Blanding at their officer's club. It is VERY affordable and really nice.
