Entertainment trouble

We booked a band that Adam has been listening to for atleast 8 years back in October.  We just found out they broke up.  They are still under contract to do it and I got confirmation that they still are doing it.  We are kind of worried now though....they won't be playing together regularly and we don't know if it was a bad break.  Basically it comes down to our deposit.  If we get a dj we will be spending less than what the total band cost but it will still be a lot more than just what a dj cost.  Suggestions?

I would definitely ask if you could get your deposit back and then book a DJ.

I would try and get a little more information. Just because a band broke up doesn't mean that there's bad blood. There could be a variety of reasons. Some bands that break up will still occasionally play together. If it seems like it will be an issue then I'd look into a dj.

I already contacted my friend thats a dj.  He is open that day.  You may of heard of him...Tony Mann (he was on WAPE for 15 years).  We are going to talk with the band and see where they stand and then talk it over ourselves and see how we feel and go from there.  I know I'm starting to lean towards the dj but I think FI is starting to feel guilty because he suggested the band to begin with.  I don't fault him at all.

I agree get with the band you may be worried for nothing. Hope it works out for the best! Keep us posted.
