A friend of mine just had her wedding cake done by a home baker in Ashtabula county. She charges $2.50/serv. for tiered cakes (crazy huh?) My friend called all the local bakers and the cake she wanted was nearly $7.00/serv. (she wanted that sugar dough stuff fondent I think it's called) anyhow, she called this place and it's almost an hr. away but she wound up paying $3.00/serv. and $1.00/mile for delivery to Cleveland which was 50 miles so $50!!! Crazy! I told her to be careful because you get what you pay for, but the cake was amazing....honestly the best thing I've ever tasted! Gorgeous too. I guess the town she lives in is really small and people won't pay much for cakes.......their loss, her stuff is as good as any cakes I've seen here in Cleveland. Just an FYI for those of you on a budget
woops forgot the name of the girl, the business is called Tina's Sugar Shack (I think it's the business name followed by .com for the website) and is in a town called Conneat or something like that?
