I'm back from my honeymoon! We had an amazing wedding and an amazing time in Ireland. Here are my reviews....
Davids Bridal at Regency - A
I got my dress from there and they were very sweet and easy to work with. I had no problems getting my dress.
The Bridal Shop at the Avenues - A-
My bridesmaids got their dresses from here. 4 of my bridesmaids had no problems and their dresses came really fast. My other 2 waited because one was pregnant and gave birth before the wedding and the other was trying. Their dresses took longer to come in but they were still in plenty of time.
Michaels at the Town Center - B-
We had several issues with tuxes. One of the first questions out of our mouths was can they accomdate large sizes and they said yes. Well when our groomsmen we were concerned about gave them his measurments they told us they could do the tux we had picked out in his size. Then they changed and said they would get a custom made one but charged him extra even though they had said they could accomdate any size. I should have fought this more but I was stressed at that point. They first gave my dad the wrong tux, my FIL's wasn't in, DH had a dirty vest and tshirt and there was something wrong with the best man's too. They did get everything straightened out the day before the wedding though and everyone looked really good.
White Room - B+
Everyone loved the atomsphere of the rooftop and room as well as the food. Their communication is lacking and as others have posted did not really follow up on everything I thought they were doing. I definitely agree with others who have said to get a DOC. I think it would have been a lot less stressful on me if I had done that. We got way behind schedule and things got chaotic behind the scenes but it seems the guests had no clue. OH it also didn't help that the elevator kept breaking down on us.
Reverend Kenny Sawyer - A
Adam knew Kenny growing up and wanted to have him. It was Kenny's first wedding and he did an excellent job. We basically put the ceremony together gave it to him and told him to put his own touches on it. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was.
Tony Mann DJ - A
Tony is a real professional. He kept the guests entertained the whole time. We were behind schedule and had to make changes and he made everything flow like it was meant to be that way.
Flowers by Shirley - A
The flowers were beautiful. They were just what a wanted and although we didn't know where they were at first they had been delivered on time in good condition.
Defores Cakes - A-
I was very pleased with the wedding cake. It was just what I had asked for and tasted great! I was a little disappointed in the grooms cake. It was supposed to be a sculpted cake but it was more drawn on then sculpted. It did taste great though!
Old Town Trolleys - A-
We used them to take the guests to the White Room. We had some guests that couldn't find them and were waiting on them for a long time and were late getting to the ceremony. We were about 15-20minutes late starting so that they could make it.
Eye Kandy Photography - A- or B+
Louise was amazing at our rehearsal dinner. I'm really excited to see all the pictures. We had her meet at the hotel to get some of the getting ready shots and stuff and then pictures on the trolley over to the white room. She had a hard time parking so she was about 20 minutes late. We were suppose to take the trolley over to the white room at 3:15 to get there before guests and the guys. She didn't like that idea but thats what I wanted and she didn't really get it. Once we were there we got a lot of pictures and things were going good but then we ran low on time again. During the ceremony it seemed good. The whole cocktail hour of portraits did not seem to go too smoothly but I'm hoping the pictures still came out ok. It was little too chaotic and my MIL ended up taking control to get people where they needed to be. We ran over on cocktail hour trying to get them. My bridesmaids almost forgot my bustle and the people were all tying it as fast as possible as the dj was annoucing the wedding party and it only got half up. She grabbed us for some other shots and we were losing sun fast so hopefully the ones she did get came out good. The only other thing that concerned me was my FIL said he was going around taking pictures and she was standing there and saw him and she started following him taking pictures. I'm hoping we will be pleasantly surprised when we see the pictures. I think other people caused me to stress about this stuff too much....that the pictures were taking away from the rest of the night but these are memories we have left.
Glen and Coby Videography - A
My two coworkers/friends videotaped my wedding. From what I have seen so far I think they did an excellent job. They did a very good job of catching everything but not being in our faces. We hardly even noticed they were there.
