New here and need referrals

Hi all, I just created my account because I am in desperate need to find an officiant. We are not getting married in a church and neither of us wants anything religious. all the officiants i seem to find are wearing robes like priests. I don't want anyone like that. Can someone recommend a decent priced officiant that is not religiously oriented? Thank you so much.

What city are you in?  I would maybe suggest looking on craigslist for notary services.  They can marry you and just do the basic vows.

thanks! I didnt' even think of craigslist. I am in jax but am thinking of a Palm coast wedding because most of my family is between st augustine and daytona beach. i'm the only one up in jacksonville.

We have a close friend of ours who is a notary and will be marrying us. It has been great working together to create the ceremony from nothing and pulling from different websites and different religions to create the entire ceremony. 

We also looked into buying a notary license for a different friend who we really liked for her to marry us, but it all worked out in the end. 

I am getting married in Palm Coast too! Hammock Beach, most of our friends are in Jacksonville, but we have family flying into Orlando to meet us at Palm Coast for the wedding weekend.

I think my friend called up the courthouse and that's how she got her officiant.
